Bible Study Begins on Wednesday, October 18, 2017
WISDOM, GOD’S VISION FOR LIFE
Scripture and the Tradition of the Catholic Church provide an abundance of wisdom, though it can often be challenging to apply it to our lives.
In this 8-session study, Jeff Cavins and Thomas Smith examine biblical wisdom as it relates to daily life. Drawing on the wisdom literature of the Bible—Proverbs, Wisdom, Sirach, and Ecclesiastes—we will examine God’s Wisdom in practical areas such as friendships, finances, marriage and aging. Between sessions, participants will be encouraged to contemplate scripture passages and to journal.
Bible study will begin on October 18, 2017, from 6:30pm-8:00pm in Vincent Hall (1324 Moss Street) and meet every other Wednesday, with breaks for holidays.
Those interested should contact the Parish Office at 488-2659 by October 1, 2017.
The cost of student materials is $20.00.
MEETING AGENDA: Opening Prayers, Group Discussion of Study Questions, Brief Fellowship Break, Viewing of a DVD Lecture, and Closing Prayer.
MEMBERSHIP: While it is certainly encouraged for participants to attend each session, it is not required.
